On the morning of 22 August 2025, the closing ceremony for the national defence education programme for Guangzhou Huawen Senior High School's 2025 Grade 10 students was held ceremonially on the school sports field. Liang Haiyu, member of the Taihe Town Party Committee and Head of its People's Armed Forces Department; Wang Caixia, Group Principal; Tang Genwang, Executive Principal of Guangzhou Huawen Senior High School; other leaders; and parents attended. Teachers Zhou Xiaonan and Yu Junwen hosted the ceremony. After six days of rigorous training, all new students presented a satisfying account of their work at the ceremony through their high spirits and excellent training results.

At 7:30 a.m., all Grade 10 students entered in orderly formation, demonstrating strict discipline. As the solemn national anthem played, all teachers and students stood at attention and watched the five-starred red flag rise slowly, opening the dignified and ceremonial closing event.

After the chief instructor assembled the formation and reported to Principal Tang Genwang, a succession of impressive demonstrations of the students' training achievements began.

During the closing ceremony, the school formally commended groups and individuals who had delivered outstanding performances.

With stirring music, the closing ceremony for the national defence education programme for Guangzhou Huawen Senior High School's 2025 Grade 10 students came to a successful end, bringing the seven-day programme to a fitting conclusion.

As the first lesson for new students entering the school, this national defence education programme not only strengthened their awareness of national defence and discipline but also cultivated a spirit of hard work and patriotism. Through their actions, students gave expression to the youthful pledge, ‘Rest assured, Party; the task of building a strong nation is ours,’ opening a wonderful new chapter in their senior-high-school lives.
