In November 2025, Huawen CIC formally entered the midterm examination period.

As an important assessment of teaching effectiveness across the first half of the semester,

the examinations were designed to evaluate students' mastery of Huawen knowledge and development of subject abilities comprehensively,

providing a precise basis for subsequent teaching improvement and adjustments to progression planning.

Inside the Examination Room: Observing Standards and Demonstrating a Strong Learning Culture

In the examination room, every student strictly observed examination discipline, demonstrating a positive approach to both learning and examinations.

Sitting upright at their desks, students read their papers with concentration. Their pens moved steadily across the answer sheets as they alternated between careful thought and rapid writing,

turning half a semester of accumulated learning into words on the page in an orderly way.

From recalling foundational knowledge and analysing reading-comprehension questions to constructing the logic of written responses,

every mark on the page demonstrated a rigorous attitude: no one whispered to a neighbour,

there were no breaches of rules or discipline, and the entire examination room remained orderly,

with only the soft sound of pages turning and pens writing, fully reflecting the students' truth-seeking and practical approach to study.

A Midpoint Review: Learning Diligently, Thinking Well and Building Confidence Through Growth

Looking back over the first half of the semester, the students' growth and progress in teaching and learning were clear to see.

In class, everyone kept pace with teaching, took an active part in exploring key ideas, recorded notes carefully, and interacted and communicated positively;

after class, students followed their revision plans closely, consolidating their learning by organising errors, memorising key knowledge and completing practice exercises,

while many made active use of question-and-answer sessions to ask teachers about difficult points, creating a positive atmosphere of diligent study, thoughtful reflection and confident enquiry.

In response to the individual needs of diverse progression routes, the centre developed differentiated teaching plans for students,

who then focused precisely on their own weaker areas and achieved stage-by-stage results in consolidating foundations, improving ability and aligning their studies with future progression.

Planning After the Examinations: Targeted Measures to Build a Strong Foundation for Progression

The midterm examinations were both a summary of past learning and a starting point for the journey ahead.

After the examinations, the centre will organise the teaching team to mark all papers and analyse students' learning thoroughly, identify gaps in knowledge and areas of weaker capability precisely, and develop an individual plan for every student to address omissions and strengthen weaker areas.

At the same time, teaching strategies will be further refined in relation to progression goals, with more targeted guidance to help students move forward steadily in their learning at Huawen and build a solid foundation for diverse progression routes.

May every student use these examinations as an opportunity to face areas for improvement and build on their strengths,

continue making progress in the learning ahead, and move towards their ideal progression pathway with stronger knowledge and firmer conviction.
