Amid the winter season, the classrooms of the Multicultural Pathways to Higher Education Center exuded a profound sense of warmth and comfort. A mental health workshop themed Youth with Shining Inner Strength was ceremoniously convened. Under the guidance of Ms. Feng Jingxuan, a National Level-3 Certified Psychological Counselor and Master of Applied Psychology from Jinan University, students delved into self-exploration through attentive listening and interactive engagement, and fostered inner resilience through engaging group activities. This workshop provided invaluable psychological nourishment for senior high school students enduring intense academic pressure.
冬日,华文多元升学中心的教室里依旧暖意融融,一场主题为“心星闪耀的青春”的心理课在此温馨开启。国家三级心理咨询师、暨南大学应用心理学硕士冯婧媗老师带领同学们,在倾听与互动中探索内心,在趣味游戏中凝聚力量,为高压学习中的高中生们送上了一份珍贵的心理滋养。

Throughout the workshop, students demonstrated exceptional levels of focus and dedication. When Ms. Feng analyzed prevalent psychological challenges faced by senior high school students grounded in practical professional experience, all participants listened with rapt attention and took meticulous notes. Inhibitions and reserve gradually dissipated during the interactive segments. The 'Snowball Icebreaker' activity evolved from initial nervousness and forgetfulness to seamless coordination, accompanied by sustained laughter. During the 'My Self-Portrait' exercise, students thoughtfully depicted their self-images and articulated personal characteristics, earning sincere affirmation from peers during the sharing session. The timed 'Charades' competition further elevated the classroom atmosphere to its apex, effectively alleviating academic stress and strengthening interpersonal bonds among students.

Mental health constitutes an indispensable, underlying cornerstone for the holistic development of senior high school students. As digital natives, contemporary adolescents confront multifaceted challenges, including fragmented attention, intense academic competition, and confusion regarding self-identity. Interpersonal conflicts, anxiety stemming from academic performance fluctuations, and uncertainty about the future may all pose significant impediments to their growth. A sound state of mental health empowers students to regulate emotions, adapt to pressure, and cultivate positive interpersonal relationships, thereby providing sustained impetus for academic advancement and lifelong personal development.
